The Peninsula Istanbul is now taking reservations and will open on 14th February next year.
The dazzling new Turkish addition to the Peninsula Hotels’ portfolio sits on the shores of the Bosphorus Strait in four exquisite buildings within the Galataport waterfront revitalisation project. The immediate area includes museums, restaurants, art galleries, boutiques and a cruise ship port. The hotel is also just a short walk from many historic city landmarks.
Three of the hotel’s four buildings are protected historical landmarks of the Karaköy harbour district dating back to the early 1900s and include a diverse range of 177 generously-appointed rooms and suites, each meticulously restored and many providing sweeping views of the Bosphorus from large windows, balconies or private terraces. Other rooms will enjoy access to the gardens, the outdoor 25-metre swimming pool, the private boat dock and luxury boutiques.
Rooms feature bespoke furnishings, original art and modern Turkish design elements such as wood and mother-of-pearl inlay, kilim-style carpets and lavish Marmara marble-clad bathrooms. The vast Peninsula Suite will be one of the most opulent suites in the city, complete with its own hammam, a gym, and a rooftop swimming pool.
The hotel offers sophisticated Turk-Asian cuisine from the rooftop restaurant, bar and terrace with views of the Bosphorus and hotel gardens and the main dining room with décor reflecting Asian and Turkish cultures. The Lobby restaurant, with views of the Bosphorus, serves signature Peninsula afternoon tea and international/Mediterranean dishes. Here guests can also enjoy an outdoor terrace and live music.
The Peninsula Spa and Wellness Centre includes eight tranquil treatment rooms, hammams, Turkish steam rooms, saunas and relaxation rooms. Facilities also feature a 25-metre indoor swimming pool and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.
