Mandarin Oriental has announced that it is starting construction of a new hotel and residences in Athens.
Located on the city's shoreline, Mandarin Oriental, Athens will be located ust a 15-minute drive from the city centre.
Anticipated to open in the summer of 2027, within The Ellinikon, one of Europe's largest sustainable urban regeneration projects, Mandarin Oriental, Athens will be the centerpiece of this revitalised area.
The hotel will feature 123 rooms and suites, along with 17 branded Residences, including waterfront villas and apartments. A variety of dining options will be available in multiple food and beverage outlets, catering to both locals and visitors. The property will offer indoor and outdoor event spaces, providing an elegant setting for meetings and social gatherings.
At the heart of the hotel, the comprehensive Spa at Mandarin Oriental will offer the Group's renowned wellness therapies and beauty treatments, with a focus on locally inspired programs.
Mandarin Oriental, Athens will boast contemporary high-end design and unobstructed views of the Aegean Sea. Its exceptional location on the Athenian riviera will establish it as a truly unique destination for guests.
Mandarin Oriental, Athens will mark the second Mandarin Oriental property in Greece, following the development of Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino, which is set to open this summer.
