After the most extensive restoration in its 110-year old history, the iconic Hotel Ritz Madrid will be rebranded as Mandarin Oriental Ritz Madrid this autumn.
A comprehensive and careful restoration is underway to enhance the hotel’s facilities while maintaining the Belle Époque style of the original building. The hotel has in the past hosted royalties, politicians, business leaders and celebrities and is an integral part of Madrid’s society. This will become one of Madrid’s most luxurious hotels. The hotel offers 100 rooms, 53 suites, five restaurants and a wellness department.
The central location within the ‘Golden Triangle of Art’ is perfect for both leisure and business travellers, the hotel is located opposite the famous Prado Museum, and is close to Madrid’s financial and commercial districts.
Well-known Parisian designers Giller & Boisser are behind the sophisticated design, and the design elements reflect the hotel’s history and its connection to the city, Spanish culture and art.
Mandarin Oriental is famous for its exceptional food and beverage outlets and this hotel is no exception. Quique Dacosta – one of Spain’s most celebrated chefs – is responsible for the hotel’s five restaurants. This includes Quique Dacosta’s signature restaurant, the all-day dining restaurant Palm Court, The Ritz Garden, the cocktail bar Ritz Bar and a champagne bar.
The hotel’s new spa and wellness facility will be a haven for those seeking a relaxing escape from the busy city life. This includes an indoor swimming pool, vitality pool, experience showers, steam room, treatment room and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
For those wishing to book a stay at the iconic Mandarin Oriental Ritz Madrid, the hotel is expected to open in the fall of 2020.
