The highly anticipated 5-star Sofitel Singapore City Centre is set to open its doors this month. The luxury hotel will be located in the heart of historic Tanjong Pagar, just 20 minutes from Singapore’s Changi Airport, and will become AccorHotels landmark 800th hotel in Asia Pacific.
Surrounded by historic shop houses and towering skyscrapers, the 223-room hotel is elegantly designed, reflecting Singapore’s rich cultural heritage with an undeniable French flair.
A stunning nine-meter chandelier named the Singapour Je T’aime will greet guests upon their entry into the lobby of the hotel. Whirling through the lobby, the stunning art installation is made up of over 700 hand-blown glass crystals.
Public spaces are brought to life with an outstanding collection of custom-made furniture and artworks evoking the botanic theme that runs throughout the hotel.
The hotel’s interiors feature vibrant rose gold accents with striking design details and botanical motifs inspired by the rich green spaces of Singapore, also known as the Garden City.
All 223 well-appointed rooms and suites have floor to ceiling windows and large soaking tubs with separate rain showers and luxurious Lanvin or Hermes amenities. They also come with complimentary minibars serviced by the hotel’s very own droid butler – Sophie The Robot, a Handy Phone that provides free local and international calls; as well as Smart TVs and Bose Sound systems.
Several dining outlets are housed within the hotel, including Racines, helmed by award-winning chef Jean-Charles Dubois, serving offer both French and Chinese cuisines prepared across four open kitchens.
Bar ‘1864’ will offer barrel-aged cocktail, signature martinis and the timeless ritual of Champagne sabering. Guests can also enjoy Sofitel’s signature afternoon Hi-Tea and handcrafted gourmet bites and tapas here.
Guests of Luxury Club Rooms and Suites will enjoy the services of Club Millésime, including breakfast, evening cocktails and canapes, a library, intimate meeting spaces and a butler service.
The hotel also has 20,000 square feet of meeting spaces across 10 flexible venues including the 600 sqm Wallich Ballroom, named after Nathaniel Wallich, the founding father of the Singapore Botanical Gardens.
