one world alliance has opened its inaugural European lounge in Amsterdam, offering a refined retreat for travellers to relax and recharge before their flights. This lounge debut closely follows the alliance's introduction of its first premium lounge at Seoul's Incheon International Airport in January.
Marking a significant milestone in its 25th anniversary year, oneworld, in partnership with ASPIRE, a lounge subsidiary of the global aviation services provider Swissport, has unveiled its second branded lounge. This luxury space, situated in the non-Schengen departure area of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, spans 473 square metres and features an array of stylish seating options set within a modern, airy environment designed to help guests unwind, dine, and rejuvenate before their flight.
The lounge's design subtly celebrates Amsterdam through custom lighting inspired by the spherical lights found on the city's famed arched canal bridges, a motif that also influences the shape of the lounge's entrance. Additionally, the decor playfully incorporates bird silhouettes above the lounge bar, including one whimsically depicted blowing bubble gum, adding a unique touch to the ambiance.
Strategically located within a 10-minute walk from the departure gates of one world member airlines, the lounge serves passengers of eight oneworld members—American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, and Royal Jordanian—operating non-stop flights from Amsterdam. Available to all eligible one world passengers, this lounge becomes an exclusive haven for those embarking on international flights outside the Schengen area. Together, oneworld airlines offer over 200 weekly flights from Amsterdam, connecting to more than 900 global destinations.
Open daily from 5:30am to 10:00pm, the lounge welcomes eligible oneworld Emerald and Sapphire customers, as well as First and Business Class passengers flying from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol on one world flights, outside of the Schengen area.
one world brings together 13 world-class airlines – Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian and SriLankan Airlines, and more than 20 of their affiliates. Fiji Airways is a one world connect partner. Oman Air is set to join the alliance as the 14th member airline later this year.
