British Airways has completed the final stage of its lounge refurbishment at London Heathrow Terminal 5’s B gates, offering passengers a host of enhanced amenities before their flight.
The T5B lounge now boasts several new features for premium customers, including a live cooking station serving up fresh, seasonal dishes. Patrons have the pleasure of watching their meals be expertly finished with locally sourced ingredients.
For those preferring to serve themselves, an array of hot and cold options are available at the airline's newly revamped deli section. This enhanced station presents an even wider selection, ranging from breakfast favorites to sandwiches and light snacks.
The lounge has also seen the introduction of bespoke furniture, updated flooring, and luxurious soft furnishings, all contributing to an upgraded look and atmosphere. Additionally, a quiet zone has been established for travellers seeking a modicum of tranquility before their flight.
This refurbishment completion follows the earlier introduction of the exclusive Whispering Angel bar by British Airways. Patrons passing through the lounge can indulge in a chilled glass of the renowned rosé wine.
The First and Club (Business Class) lounges at London Heathrow Terminal 3 have also received a facelift. The Club lounge now sports a new bar and furniture, while the First lounge features an exclusive Concorde Bar and dining area.
A new bar has been installed in the First lounge at Terminal 5 as well, offering a selection of premium beverages, from sparkling wines to non-alcoholic cocktails, all curated by the airline's Master of Wine.
Further enhancements are on the horizon for other lounges in the British Airways network. New furniture is set to be added to the Concorde Room and Arrivals lounge at Terminal 5, with the addition of day beds in the Concorde Room later in the year. Enhancements are also planned for the Edinburgh lounge in the upcoming months, and a new bar and improved menu offerings are expected in the Seattle lounge the following year.
