On 3rd March, British Airways commemorates ten years of service between Austin and London Heathrow with a unique celebration.
The airline is collaborating with the famous Franklin Barbecue in Austin to create a special edition BA-BQ sauce, which will be presented as a gift to Club World passengers traveling from Austin to London throughout March.
In addition to the special sauce, passengers flying from Austin during the anniversary month will be treated to a Texas-inspired barbecue menu on their flights. This menu is designed to highlight Austin's acclaimed barbecue flavours, offering travellers a taste of the city's culinary heritage high above the clouds.
Throughout March, in addition to the special brisket dish for Club World and World Traveller Plus customers, World Traveller passengers can enjoy a smoky chicken barbecue option.
British Airways, which operates direct flights from 26 US cities to London, introduced its Austin service on 3rd March, 2014, utilising its A350 aircraft for daily flights.
The Austin-London route has become a favourite for both business and leisure travellers, drawn to Austin's diverse culture, welcoming environment, vibrant music … and barbecue scenes.
To mark the special occasion, flights between Austin and London will feature the themed menu from 1st to 31st March, and limited edition Franklin Barbecue sauce bottles will be available to Club World passengers, while supplies last.
