China Airlines has partnered with Le Palais, the only three-star Michelin restaurant in Taiwan, to launch the new "Skyward 3-Stars Private Cuisine" in-flight menu. This exclusive menu, designed by Le Palais, will be available on all long-haul flights departing from Taiwan to Europe and North America from April 21st. This partnership is the first time a three-star Michelin restaurant from Taiwan will be serving meals on an airline, allowing travelers in all cabin classes to enjoy a Michelin-starred dining experience while in the air.
Le Palais is known for its exquisite Yum Cha offerings and Cantonese banquets and has received three Michelin stars for five consecutive years, making it the only restaurant in Taiwan to achieve this feat. Additionally, both China Airlines and Le Palais prioritise sustainability and are committed to corporate social responsibility.
The new in-flight menu is inspired by the signature dishes of Ken Chen, Taiwan's first Michelin-starred chef, and includes elements from the secret menu popular among regulars at Le Palais. The Premium Business Class menu will feature four Le Palais entrees followed by a main course of "Rice Noodles with Shredded Duck and Taro" and a dessert of Dried Bean Curd and Semen Coicis Sweet Soup. Meanwhile, Premium Economy passengers will enjoy Cantonese-style cuisine with Steamed Chicken and Rice in Lotus Leaf and Clay Pot Chicken Rice with Scallion and Ginger. Premium Business and Premium Economy Class passengers can also pre-book exclusive meal selections via the China Airlines website.
China Airlines has a history of collaborating with domestic and foreign brands to provide exceptional in-flight catering services.
